Operate the pump for at least 0.8 hours with gas ballast

Confirm removal of condensed water from the oil

Store the pump in a dry place at room temperature (20 °C)

Properly disconnect the pump from the vacuum system

Purge the pump with dry nitrogen

Seal the inlets and outlets with shipping seals

Set the gas ballast switch to the '0' position

Seal the pump in a PE bag with desiccant if stored for a long period

Run standard maintenance if the pump has been shelved for over one year

Ensure all maintenance tasks are completed

Was the maintenance run by the Leybold service?

3.5 Disassembly and Reassembly of the Electric Motor

Ensure motor is disconnected from mains and pump is prevented from running up

Disconnect the mains connection

Unscrew the four non-recessed hex. socket screws (11/5)

Remove the intermediate flange (11/4) together with the electric motor

Loosen the threaded pin and pull the coupling with the blade wheel (11/2) off the motor shaft

3.7 Removing and Remounting the Pump Module

Ensure all required tools are available

Ensure all required spare parts are available

Drain the oil and remove the oil case (see Section 3.4)

Pull the entire pump module (13/2) forward off the tie rods (13/5)

Ensure individual pin-fitted parts are not loosened
