100 Hourly Cooling Shrouds and Cooling Areas Cleaning
Disassembly
Remove the blower housing
Remove other cooling shrouds
Cleaning

Reinstall the blower housing

100 Hourly Engine Oil Replacement
Preparation
Ensure the engine is warm from operation
Ensure the engine is level
Oil Drainage
Remove the oil drain plug and oil fill cap/dipstick
Allow time for complete drainage
Reinstallation and Filling
Tighten the drain plug to 13.6 N·m (10 ft. lb.) torque
Fill the crankcase with new oil to the 'F' mark on the dipstick
500 Hourly / 1 Yearly Starter Drive Maintenance
Style "A" Drive Service
Remove the starter from the engine and remove the dust cover.
Hold the drive pinion in a vice with soft jaws when removing and installing the stop nut.
Remove the stop nut, stop gear spacers, anti-drift spring, dust cover spacer, and drive pinion.
Clean the splines on drive shaft thoroughly with solvent and dry them.
Apply a small amount of Kohler electric starter drive lubricant to the splines.
Apply a small amount of Loctite® No. 271 to the stop nut threads.
Install the drive pinion, dust cover spacer, anti-drift spring, stop gear spacer, and stop nut.
Torque the stop nut to 17.0-19.2 N·m (150-170 in. lb.).
25 Hourly Precleaner Element Maintenance
Precleaner Removal and Cleaning
Remove the precleaner from the paper element
Wash the precleaner in warm water with detergent
Rinse the precleaner thoroughly until all traces of detergent are eliminated
Squeeze out excess water (do not wring)
Allow the precleaner to air dry
Precleaner Oil Saturation
Saturate the precleaner with new engine oil
Squeeze out all excess oil
Battery Maintenance
Electrolyte Level Check
Check the level of electrolyte
Is the electrolyte level within the recommended range?
Add distilled water if necessary
Ensure the battery is not overfilled
Battery Cleaning
Clean the cables, terminals, and external surfaces of the battery
Wash the cables, terminals, and external surfaces with a baking soda and water solution
Rinse thoroughly with clear water
