Used pipe thread sealant on drain plug threads when reinstalling

Follow local regulations for disposal of used machine fluids

Sign off on the cutting fluid service

Machine disconnected from power source

Drain plug unscrewed and oil drained completely

Drain plug reinstalled with pipe thread sealant on plug threads

Amount of Mobil® SHC Gear Oil 460 inserted (in mL)

Bow lowered and sight glass rechecked

Caution: Oil level in sight glass should not fall below the red dot. Insufficient oil will result in overheating and eventual gear damage.

Disconnect machine from power source

Unscrew drain plug and allow oil to drain completely

Reinstall drain plug with pipe thread sealant on plug threads

Insert approximately 850 mL (1/4 gal.) of Mobil® SHC Gear Oil 460, or equivalent

Lower bow and recheck sight glass, top off if needed

Caution: Oil level in sight glass should not fall below the red dot. Insufficient oil will result in overheating and eventual gear damage.
