200 Hourly / 1 Yearly Vehicle Lubrication
Warning: Do not attempt to change engine oil when the engine is hot or even warm. Engine oil can cause skin burns. Wear safety glasses or approved eye protection when servicing the vehicle. Wear rubber gloves when handling oil drain plug, oil filter, and oil drain pan.
Turn the key switch to the OFF position, then remove the key. Place the Forward/Reverse handle in the neutral POSITION. Chock the front wheels.
Access the engine compartment.
Disconnect battery and spark plug wire(s).
Position a pan designed for oil changes under the front drain plug.
Use a 14 mm socket or wrench to remove the drain plug, turning it counterclockwise, and allow the engine oil to drain into the pan.
Clean the oil drain plug threads with solvent to remove oil and oil residue. Make sure that the compression washer remains on the drain plug.
Use a 14 mm socket or wrench and replace the front oil drain plug, turning it clockwise, and tighten to 18 ft-lb (24.4 N·m).
Relocate the oil drain pan to a position under the engine oil filter.
Battery Charging
Warning: Only trained technicians should repair or service the charger.
Ensure the charging area is ventilated.
Hydrogen level in the air below 2%?
Is the charger dry and not exposed to any liquid?
Is the charger not used near fuels, grain dust, solvents, thinners, or other flammables?
Is the charger connected to a properly grounded, three-wire outlet of the proper voltage and frequency?
Is the charger not operated if it has received a sharp blow, was dropped, or otherwise damaged in any way?
Are there no objects of any kind pushed into the charger through cabinet slots?
Is the charger not blocked or covered?
50 Hourly / 6 Monthly Vehicle Lubrication
- Electrical Vehicle - By owner or trained technician
Lubricate:
1) Brake pedal shaft bearings - Dry Moly Lube
2) Brake linkage and pivots - Dry Moly Lube
3) Accelerator pivot rod supports - Dry Moly Lube
4) Charger Receptacle (if equipped) - WD-40®
5) Brake slides (Front* and rear for 4-wheel brake vehicles; rear for 2-wheel brake vehicles) - Dry Moly Lube
6) Front suspension (2 or 5 fittings, depending on model year) - Chassis Lube – EP NLGI Grade 2.
- Gasoline Vehicle - By owner or trained technician
100 Hourly / 1 Yearly Vehicle Lubrication
- Electrical Vehicle - By owner or trained technician
Lubricate:
1) Check/fill transaxle to plug level - 22 oz (0.67 L) SAE 30 WT. API Class SE, SF, or SG Oil (or higher)
2) Inspect front wheel bearings (Repack as necessary) - Chassis Lube – EP NLGI Grade 2.
- Gasoline Vehicle - By owner or trained technician
Lubricate:
1) Check/fill unitized transaxle to plug level - 27 oz (0.8 L) 80-90 WT. API Class GL-3 or 80-90 WT. AGMA Class EP Gear Lube
2) Inspect front wheel bearings (Repack as necessary) - Chassis Lube – EP NLGI Grade 2.
Vehicle Cleaning
Warning: Use only commercially available automotive cleaners with a sponge or soft cloth for normal cleaning.
ArmorFlex® front body cleaned
All-aluminum rear body and cargo bed cleaned
Warning: Do not use any type of pressure washer or steam cleaning.
Electrical components dry and undamaged
Non-abrasive wax products used
Warning: Battery acid, fertilizers, tars, asphalt, creosote, paint, or chewing gum should be removed immediately to prevent possible stains.
Seats cleaned with 10% liquid soap and warm water
Report any heavy soiling, difficult stains or scratches, blemishes, or other body damage
