500 Hourly / 1 Monthly Air Valve Lubrication
CAUTION: Do not over-lubricate the pump. Oil is exhausted through the muffler and could contaminate your fluid supply or other equipment. Excessive lubrication can also cause the pump to malfunction.
Did you remove the hose from the pump air inlet?
Add two drops of machine oil to the air inlet.
Did you add the correct amount of oil?
Sign off on the air valve lubrication
1 Weekly Diaphragm Pump Check
Check hoses for wear
Check/tighten fluid connections
Check/tighten air connections
Before each use, check all hoses for wear or damage, and replace as necessary. Check to be sure all connections are tight and leak-free.
Sign off on the pump check
Bearing and Air Gasket Replacement
Disassembly
Pressure relieved
Manifolds and ball check valves removed
Fluid covers and diaphragm assemblies removed
Air valve disassembled
Screws holding the air covers to the center housing removed using a 10 mm socket wrench
Air cover gaskets removed and replaced with new ones
Diaphragm shaft bearings, air valve bearings or pilot pin bearings removed using a bearing puller
U-cups removed and inspected, parts replaced as needed
Air Valve Replacement
Pressure relieved
Six screws, air valve cover, and gasket removed with a Torx (T20) screwdriver or 7 mm (9/32 in.) socket wrench
Valve carriage moved to the center position and pulled out of the cavity
Pilot block pulled straight up and out of the cavity using a needle-nose pliers
Two actuator pistons pulled
U-cups removed from the pistons
Pilot pins pulled
O-rings removed from the pilot pins
Valve plate inspected in place
Check Valve Replacement
Disassembly
Pressure relieved and all hoses disconnected
Pump removed from its mounting and drained
Both upper clamps removed from the outlet manifold
Outlet manifold removed leaving elbows, gaskets, clamps, and tee assembled
For 3A Ball Check pumps: ball gasket removed
Middle clamp and ball stop housing removed
Middle gasket and ball removed
Lower clamp, seat, and gasket removed
