Is the wear on the upper and lower bearings within factory recommendations?

Replace both upper and lower bearings if wear exceeds factory recommendations

Are the mechanical seal's contact surfaces free from wear, cracks, or scratches?

Replace the mechanical seal if the contact surfaces are worn, cracked, or scratched

Ensure only qualified service technicians are servicing the appliance.

Verify hands are dry before touching the icemaker power switch or control switch.

Move the icemaker's power switch to the 'OFF' position.

Place the disconnect in the off position, if applicable.

Lockout/Tagout to prevent the power supply from being turned back on inadvertently.

Ensure all components, fasteners, and thumbscrews are securely in place.

Ensure only qualified service technicians are servicing the appliance.

Confirm the icemaker's power switch is in the 'OFF' position.

Ensure the power supply is turned off.

Air Filter Inspection and Cleaning

Inspect the air filters for dirt and debris.

Ensure only qualified service technicians are servicing the appliance.

Verify that the icemaker power switch and control switch are not touched with damp hands.

Move the icemaker's power switch to the 'OFF' position.

Place the disconnect in the off position, if applicable.

Lockout/Tagout to prevent the power supply from being turned back on inadvertently.

Check that no components have fallen into the dispenser unit/ice storage bin.
