Draft Transmitter Adjustment
Button Usage
Use NEXT and ENTER buttons to adjust or reconfigure the draft transmitter
Zeroing Procedure
Allow the unit to warm up for at least five minutes before adjusting the transmitter zero
Refer to Figure 1 and use the shutoff cocks in the transmitter manifold to isolate the transmitter from the dryer and to open the LOW pressure tap to atmosphere
Does the transmitter display read 0.00 IN H2O?
Zero Calibration Adjustment
Press the NEXT button one time to change the lower display to CALIB
Press ENTER to change the lower display to CAL AT0
Gas Valve Leak Test
Refer to gas piping diagram for leak testing shown in Figure 1
Close the manual shutoff valve downstream of Safety Shutoff Valve No. 2
Open the equipment isolation valve upstream of Safety Shutoff Valve No. 1
Bleed off trapped gas by opening both Leak Test Valves No. 1 and No. 2
Close Leak Test Valve No. 2
Connect 3/16" (4.8mm) ID tubing to Leak Test Valve No. 1 and immerse the open end of the tubing in a container of water
Hold the tubing vertically 1/8” to 1/4" (3 to 6 mm) below the surface
Check for bubbles appearing in the water
Record the leakage rate in bubbles/min

Start the burner and establish the low fire burner flame
Simulate Flame Failure
Simulate flame failure by either
Observe System Response
Did the flame relay lockout after approximately three seconds?
Did the burner shut off?
Did the alarm sound?
Was a 'FLAME RELAY RESET REQUIRED' message displayed?
Bias Point Adjustment

Verify default bias points
Analyzer Setup
Set up an analyzer to monitor stack or drum emissions
Bias Point Adjustment Procedure
Set burner firing rate to approximately 10% output
Select the bias point setting screen
Allow analyzer readings to stabilize

Verify all items on the bill of lading and/or invoice are received
Examine all parts for shipping damage
