3 Monthly Battery Inspection

Warning: Contact with electrically charged circuits could result in death or serious injury. Remove all rings, watches and other jewelry.

Warning: Batteries contain acid. Avoid spilling or contacting battery acid. Neutralize battery acid spills with baking soda and water.

Battery cable connections are free of corrosion

Battery retainers and cable connections are tight

Battery separator wire connections are tight (if equipped)

Models without maintenance-free or sealed batteries

Put on protective clothing and eye wear

3 Monthly Hydraulic Oil Visual Inspection

Warning: This procedure requires trained personnel with PPE!

Genie specifications require that this procedure be performed quarterly

Replacement or testing of the hydraulic oil is essential for good machine performance and service life

Dirty oil and a clogged suction strainer may cause the machine to perform poorly and continued use may cause component damage

Extremely dirty conditions may require oil changes to be performed more often

For hydraulic oil specifications, refer to Specifications, Hydraulic Specifications

Before replacing the hydraulic oil, the oil may be tested by an oil distributor for specific levels of contamination to verify that changing the oil is necessary

Replace the oil when it fails the test

Refer to Maintenance Procedure, Test or Replace the Hydraulic Oil
