Stop ice production by lifting the wire signal arm to the 'up' or OFF position (side mounted) or setting the On/Off power switch to 'O' (rear mounted)

Remove the ice container by lifting up and out

Clean the container with mild detergent

Rinse the container with clear water

Allow the container to dry completely before replacing in the freezer

Determine the filter model and capacity

Has the refrigerator been unused for a while?

Open freezer door and leave open until filter change is complete

Set ice maker wire signal arm to OFF (up) position or turn On/Off power switch to 'O'

Hold filter cup firmly and unscrew towards left

Rinse out cup under running water

Check the large o-ring in the groove inside the cup; replace if damaged

Measure the temperature of the fresh food compartment using a separate thermometer

Measure the temperature of the freezer compartment using a separate thermometer

Have you adjusted the temperature settings recently?

Allow 24 hours for temperatures to stabilize after adjustment

Is either digital display continuously flashing?

If flashing, describe the issue and contact Electrolux service representative

Check that seals touch the cabinet on all four sides

Is the refrigerator/freezer door slightly open?

Inspect gaskets for the following conditions

Clean dirty gaskets with soap and water and a clean soft cloth

Replace worn, cracked, or poorly fitted gaskets

Allow the refrigerator and freezer to operate with the doors closed for 8 to 12 hours before placing food inside

Do not adjust the controls during the cooling period

Check if the refrigerator has been running for 24 hours

Make small and gradual adjustments to the temperature settings if needed
