Stop ice production by lifting the wire signal arm to the 'up' or OFF position (side mounted) or setting the On/Off power switch to 'O' (rear mounted)

Remove the ice container by lifting up and out.

Clean the container with mild detergent.

Rinse the container with clear water.

Allow the container to dry completely before replacing in the freezer.

Unplug the refrigerator to avoid electrical shock

Wear gloves to protect against broken glass

Identify the location of the light bulb to be replaced

Is it necessary to remove the light cover?

Remove the light cover if necessary

Replace with an appliance bulb of the same wattage

Ensure the wire signal arm is in the correct position

Is the water supply hooked up immediately?

If water supply is not connected, is the ice maker turned OFF?

Has the refrigerator been installed properly and cooled for several hours?

Did the ice maker begin making ice within 24 hours?

Did the ice maker cycle two or three times before making a full tray of ice?

Check that all door seals touch the cabinet on all four sides

Is the refrigerator/freezer door slightly open?

Inspect gaskets for the following conditions

Clean dirty gaskets with soap and water and a clean soft cloth

Replace worn, cracked, or poorly fitted gaskets

Ensure refrigerator and freezer doors are closed for 8 to 12 hours

Verify that controls are not adjusted during the initial cooling period

Has the refrigerator been running for 24 hours?

Are temperature settings adjustments needed?

Describe any adjustments made to the temperature settings
