Ensure the use of a standard safety analyzer such as Fluke 601Pro Series or equivalent

Perform the test according to local regulations (e.g., IEC/EN60601-1 in Europe, UL60601-1 in USA)

Refer to the Instructions for Use of the test equipment for setup guidance

Test the system as a whole, not individual devices, according to IEC 60601-1

Disconnect data cables from devices before performing the electrical safety check

Verify the settings are correct

Check if the recorder can perform printing without problem

Verify all printed traces are correct and clear on the paper

If failure detected, refer to section Recorder Failures for details and describe the issue

Disassemble the main unit following instructions in section 7.3

Disconnect the wire and tubes connecting the pump assembly

Disassemble the pump assembly with a cross-head screwdriver

Assemble the pump assembly in the reversed order

Connect the wires and assemble the main unit. Refer to 7.3 Disassembling the Main Unit for details.

Access CO2 setup menu and set the WORK MODE to MEASURE

Place the nasal cannula below the nose and breathe normally

Check if the CO2 measurement waveforms are available on the monitor

Enter the displayed CO2 concentration

Is the displayed CO2 concentration within the range of 34~40mmHg?

Disassemble the main unit following instructions in section 7.3

Remove the cap from the trim knob with a pair of pliers

Unscrew the nut securing the trim knob with the pliers

Assemble the trim knob in the reversed order

Assemble the main unit. Refer to 7.3 Disassembling the Main Unit for details.
