Visually inspect all components

Are all power cords free from frays, splits, or signs of wear?

Verify that the trackball and TGC slide controls are clean and free from gel or contaminants

Visually check the on-screen display and lighting for errors

Is the monitor displaying the current date and time correctly?

Is the probe identification and indicated frequency correct for the activated probe?

Remove the trackball as shown in figure 13-2

Clean trackball with a tissue and isopropyl alcohol

Clean the inside of the trackball assembly with a cotton swab and isopropyl alcohol

Ensure the following components are cleaned

Assemble the trackball and front panel bezel after the assembly parts completely dry

Power off the system and disconnect it from power supply

Use a clean gauze pad or lint-free cloth moistened lightly with a mild detergent to wipe the surface

Take particular care when cleaning the areas near

Use a soft dry cloth without chemicals for cleaning the polarizer surface

Reconnect the system to power source

Disassemble the probe holder by uninstalling the two screws.

Wash the holder with flowing water, using a mild detergent.

After cleaning and drying, assemble the probe holder to the main unit.

Apply a layer of medical ultrasound coupling gel evenly on the area of the acoustical window of the probe, ensuring no air bubbles are generated.

Disconnect the probe from the system.

Wipe off all the gel gently with a soft cloth.

Pull out the fuse-box using a minus screwdriver

Use the tweezers to pull the fuses out through the small hole on the bottom of the box

Put new fuses (φ5×20, T3.15AH250V) provided by EDAN in position

Is the fuse-box securely repositioned?

Test the device to ensure it is functioning properly
