Vital Signs Monitor Maintenance
Pre-Cleaning Safety Checks
Is the monitor switched off and disconnected from the power line?
Is the sensor free from any signs of damage or deterioration?
Are all disposable accessories discarded?
Cleaning Procedure
Use a cotton ball or soft mull moistened with hospital-grade ethanol to wipe the surface of the sensor.
Dry the sensor with a cloth after cleaning.
Clean the luminotron and receiving unit using the same method as the sensor.
Clean the cable with 3% hydrogen dioxide, 70% isopropanol, or other active reagents, avoiding the connector.
6 Monthly System Check
Pre-Use Inspection
Check for any mechanical damage on the monitor
Check the condition of outer cables, inserted modules, and accessories
Check all functions of the monitor to ensure it is in good condition
