Printer Cleaning
Safety Precautions
Ensure no hard, metallic or abrasive objects are used for cleaning
Use only manufacturer’s approved cleaning wipes
Before Cleaning the Printer
Switch off electrical power and disconnect the air supply
Raise the print head lifting handle
Open the peel roller
Platen Roller / Ribbon Take-Up Roller Cleaning
Ensure the electrical power is off
Gently ease out the labels/ribbon sideways
Clean the rollers
Rub the cleaning wipes along the platen roller (f)
Rub the cleaning wipes along the ribbon take-up roller (c)
Slowly turn the roller by hand until the roller is completely clean
Confirm the rollers are completely clean
Print Head Cleaning
Initial Cleaning
Blow or brush away loose dust and lint particles within the print mechanism
Print Head Wiping
Use cleaning wipes to wipe the print head
Post-Cleaning Check
Is the print head free of dust and lint?
Was the print head cleaned successfully?
Final Steps
Dispose of used cleaning wipes properly

Open the peel roller
Remove the hood
Ribbon Removal
Turn the two knobs anti-clockwise to release the ribbon rolls
Pull out and remove both rolls
Ribbon Installation
Place an empty roll on the ribbon take-up roll (a)
