Compressor Assembly Replacement
Preparation
Unplug unit
Remove the cabinet
Disassembly
Loosen clamps and disconnect intake hose and compressor output hose (blue) from compressor assembly
Remove compressor wires from wire clamps or tie-wraps and disconnect motor connector from the main harness connector
Remove protective boot on capacitor
Disconnect capacitor wires from the top of the capacitor
Remove the two mounting screws that secure the compressor restraint bracket and remove the bracket
Cabinet Removal
DANGER: Disconnect concentrator from electrical outlet
Unplug unit
Remove the four mounting screws
Lift the cabinet straight up
Vacuum inside of the cabinet and exposed foam insulation if required
Re-install cabinet by reversing STEPS 2-3
Heat Exchanger Replacement
Safety Precautions
Disconnect concentrator from electrical outlet to prevent electrical shock.
Preparation
Unplug unit.
Remove cabinet. Refer to Removing Cabinet on page 25.
Heat Exchanger Removal
Loosen the adjustable clamps on the compressor output hose (BLUE) and valve manifold input hoses at the front and rear of the heat exchanger.
Remove screw securing heat exchanger standoff to the soundbox.
Move the heat exchanger out to access the hoses and remove them from the heat exchanger.
Pressure Testing
Preparation
Remove plug and connect pressure gauge to the ¼ x 2-inch silicone tubing and secure with a ¼-inch clamp.
Check each connection to make sure it is tight.
Concentrator Setup
Turn the concentrator On (I).
Adjust the concentrator to MAXIMUM Rated liter flow
Pressure Testing
Enter the initial pressure reading after 20 seconds for 5 liter models.
Enter the initial pressure reading after 20 seconds for 10 liter models.
Valve Plate Removal
Refer to FIGURE 7.4
Note the position of the plates before removing
Lift off the valve plate on one side
Repeat for the other side
Note the position of the tab on valve plate for reassembly
Service only one end of the compressor at a time
