Fan Rotor Removal

Warning: Be sure to wait for 10 minutes or more after turning off all power supplies before disassembling work.

1) Remove the 2 screws of the right side plate.

Check mark

2) Release the fan motor lead wire from the hooks and remove the right side plate.

Check mark

When reassembling the fan motor and the fan rotor, provide as much as 5 mm (0.2 inch) of play between the side face of the rotor and the bottom frame.

(1) Insert the fan motor with approx. 5 mm (0.2 inch) left.

Check mark

(2) Tighten the screw until it stops. Then give the screw one more turn.

Check mark

(3) Rotate the fan rotor and confirm the fan motor and the fan rotor are installed appropriately.

Check mark

(4) Tighten the screw completely if appropriate.

Check mark

(5) If not appropriate, go back to (1).

Front Panel Removal

Open the front panel over the position where it stops.

Check mark

Slide the left rotary shaft to the right and release it.

Check mark

Remove the right rotary shaft in the same way.

Check mark

When reassembling the front panel, fit the right and left rotary shafts one by one into the grooves and fully push them into position.

Sign off on the front panel removal

Front Grille Removal

Screw covers and screws removed

Check mark

Open the horizontal blades before removing the screw covers and screws.

Check mark

When reassembling the indoor unit, drive the screws with the horizontal blades opened or removed.

3 hooks on the top of the front grille unfastened

The convex marks (...) on the front panel indicate the position of the hooks.

Upper part of the front grille pulled out and lower part lifted up

When reassembling, make sure that the 3 hooks are fastened as they were.

When reassembling the front grille, be sure not to get it stuck on the spacer of the drain pan.

Drain Pan Unit / Swing Motor Removal

1. Remove the drain pan unit.

Inserting a wooden base beneath the unit facilitates the removing work.

Check mark

Lift up the indoor unit slightly and pull out the drain hose.

Check mark

Place a plastic sheet under the drain pan to prevent from wetting the floor with remaining drain.

Check mark

1) Remove the screw at the right side of the drain pan unit.

Check mark

2) Press the right side of the drain pan unit and twist the left side.

Check mark

3) Remove the drain pan unit from the indoor unit.

Check mark

When reassembling, make sure that the hook at the left side is fitted in the groove.
