Inspect and clean components if necessary

Inspect and replace defective hoses if necessary

Check supply pipe is tight and tighten if necessary

Clean water filter, if available

Scale collector tank: Remove and clean

Connection ring scale collector tank: Inspect and replace if necessary

Steam cylinder: Remove, disassemble and clean, replace defective components if necessary

Disconnect control unit from the mains by switching off the electrical isolator and secure electrical isolator in 'Off' position against inadvertent switching on.

Unlock the front cover of the steam humidifier and remove it (for large units with two front covers: remove the front cover on the control compartment side).

Swivel control board assembly 90° outwards.

Ensure the contact protection of fuse 'F2' is relocated after the fuse has been replaced.

Swivel control board assembly 90° inwards.

Has the warning for contactor replacement appeared?

Verify that the contactors are due for replacement (5 years since last replacement).

Ensure the power supply is turned off before starting the replacement.

Confirm the following tools are available

Replace the contactors with new ones purchased from Condair.

Check if the new contactors are functioning correctly.

Personnel Qualification and Safety

Verify personnel qualification and authorization

Ensure all maintenance instructions are followed

Use only original Condair spare parts

Switch off the unit, disconnect from mains, and stop water supply

Secure the unit against inadvertent power-up

Implement ESD protection measures

Wait for components to cool down to prevent burns

Maintenance Intervals and Counters

Dump any lime in scale collector tank

Remove limescale inside scale collector tank and on the strainer insert using a soft bristled brush

Wash scale collector tank with lukewarm soap solution and rinse with tap water

Connection Ring Scale Collector Tank

Wipe off any limescale with a damp cloth without detergent

Check the connection ring for cracks and replace if necessary

Steam Cylinder / Steam Cylinder Insert

Remove limescale using a soft bristled brush
