Tread or sidewall is cracked, cut, or snagged deep enough to show cord or fabric

Tire has a bump, bulge, or split

Tire has a puncture, cut, or other damage that cannot be repaired well because of the size or location of the damage

Check the tire inflation pressures

Caution: Neither tire underinflation nor overinflation is good

Enter the tire inflation pressure

Check the tire inflation pressure when the tires are cold

Does the cold tire inflation pressure match the recommended pressure?

If the inflation pressure is low, add air until the recommended pressure is reached

If the inflation pressure is high, press on the metal stem in the center of the tire valve to release air

Re-check the tire pressure with the tire gauge

Enter the current mileage of the vehicle

Is the CHANGE ENGINE OIL SOON message displayed?

If the CHANGE ENGINE OIL SOON message is displayed, change the oil as soon as possible within the next 1 000 km (600 mi)

Enter the REMAINING OIL LIFE percentage

If the REMAINING OIL LIFE percentage is near 0%, an oil change is needed

Remember to reset the oil life system whenever the oil is changed

Sign off on the engine oil change

Visual inspection of steering, suspension, and chassis components

Power steering inspection for proper hook-up, binding, leaks, cracks, chafing, etc.

Visual check of constant velocity joint boots and axle seals for leaks

Lubrication of the outer tie rod ends

Lubrication of the upper and lower control arm ball joints

Lubrication of the tie rod ball joints, idler arm pivot shaft bearings, idler arm socket, and pitman arm socket

Is the mileage less than or equal to 36,000 km/22,500 miles?

If mileage is more than 36,000 km/22,500 miles, replace the filter

Vehicle driven in areas with heavy traffic, poor air quality, or high dust levels?

If yes, replace the filter more frequently

Any reduction in air flow, excessive window fogging, or odors?
