Disconnect hoist from air service

Remove hoist from overhead suspension

Partially disassemble hoist as necessary for inspection

Remove brake housing cover and brake shoes

Check brake shoe linings and brake wheel for wear and scoring

Check condition of brake cam and spring

Ensure hoist is in normal suspended position

Identify the appropriate regulator screw for hoisting or lowering speed adjustment

Describe the current hoist speed settings

Turn the regulator screw slightly in either direction while operating hoist under load

Is the hoist speed adjusted to the desired level?

Ensure heads of adjusting screws do not extend beyond outer surface of housing

Is the hook opened beyond the dimension given in Figure 5-3?

Lubricate hook swivels and pivot points if necessary

Replace hook if opened beyond specified dimensions

Sprocket and Bearings Inspection

Check sprocket and bearings in lower block

Lubricate sprocket and bearings if necessary

Replace damaged sprocket or bearings

Perform lubrication services as outlined in paragraphs 4-2 through 4-7

Apply light grease to trolley wheel bearings as recommended by trolley literature

Is the lubrication process completed successfully?

Describe any issues encountered during lubrication

Push Trolley Suspended Models Inspection

Check condition of trolley parts and lug bracket
