Ensure the power to the system has been removed and the power lead has been disconnected.

Verify that the cabinet is safe to work on, considering potential hazardous or harmful substances.

Check condition of pre-filters and replace if required.

Check if the light diffuser is clean before switching the system on.

Check that the light is working.

Remove the front cover to gain access to the filter

Loosen the filter clamps from inside the bottom enclosure

Lift the filter slightly to break the seal and then withdraw the filter

Place the filter in a plastic bag and seal the bag for disposal

Slide the new filter into position by pushing it fully into the module

Refit the front cover and lock it in position

Is it necessary to re-calibrate the airflow system after fitting the new filter?

Ensure all personnel are aware of potential hazards

Provide necessary protective clothing and equipment

Is the filter used with hydrocarbon solvents?

Remove the filter in the laboratory if used with hydrocarbon solvents

Does the filter contain dangerous materials such as asbestos dust or radioactive chemicals?

Use operator protection including a respirator if the filter contains dangerous materials

Ensure the power to the system has been removed

Verify the cabinet is safe to work on

Wipe down the unit with soapy water
