Combustion Air Inducer Motor Bearings

Verify that combustion air inducer motor bearings are pre-lubricated and sealed

Are manufacturer’s instructions available for fan motor bearing lubrication?

If manufacturer's instructions are available

Lubricate fan motor bearings according to manufacturer's instructions

If manufacturer's instructions are not available

Check if fan motors have oiling ports

Are the fan motors pre-lubricated for extended bearing life?

Set the thermostat to call for heat

Did the system begin normal sequence of operation?

Wait for approximately 30 seconds (pre purge period)

Is the LED fast flashing indicating the gas valve is powered?

Wait for 10 seconds for the gas valve to close

Enter the gas line pressure with unit firing at maximum rate

Has the line pressure been checked and adjusted?

Enter the adjusted manifold pressure

Verify gas pressure adjustment screw location

Is a natural gas to LP/propane gas changeover kit required?

Refer to installation instructions provided with changeover kit for conversion procedure

Inspect the combustion air inducer for any visible damage or wear

Clean the inducer wheel using a small brush

Is the combustion air inducer free of debris and damage?

Examine burner flames for proper appearance during the heating season

Examine burners for any deposits or blockage

Turn off both electrical and gas supplies to unit

Disconnect gas supply piping, high tension and sensor leads
