Is the frost accumulation between 1⁄4 to 1⁄2 inch?

Unplug the freezer from the power source to avoid electrical hazard.

Remove all products from the freezer.

Remove the drain plug from the inside floor of the freezer.

Remove the base panel screws to access the external drain tube, if applicable.

Place a shallow pan under the drain tube to collect defrost water.

Defrosting Manual-Defrost Freezers

Has 1⁄4 to 1⁄2 inch of frost accumulated?

Defrost the freezer if frost has accumulated.

Cleaning Interior and Door Liners

Prepare cleaning solution with 2 tablespoons of baking soda in 1 quart of warm water.

Wring excess water out of sponge or cloth before cleaning around controls, light bulb, or any electrical parts.

Clean interior and door liners with prepared solution.

Wipe door gaskets and their seating surfaces with a clean soft cloth.
