Ensure pressure in the chamber is completely vented through appropriate openings or connections.

Ensure the driving means is locked out or made non-operational.

Identify the liquid the pump has been handling and understand necessary safety precautions.

Obtain and review the material safety data sheet (MSDS) for the liquid.

Carefully remove valve cap covering the adjusting screw.

Loosen locknut to allow pressure setting adjustment.

Install a pressure gauge in the discharge line.

Did the idler slide off the idler pin during removal?

Is there moderate wear on the idler bushing or idler pin?

Replace idler bushing and idler pin if moderate wear is detected

Ensure idler does not slide off the idler pin during head removal to prevent injury or damage

Ensure all pressure in the chamber is vented through appropriate openings.

Lock out or make non-operational the driving means (motor, turbine, engine, etc.).

Identify the liquid the pump has been handling and understand necessary safety precautions.

Obtain and review the material safety data sheet (MSDS) for the liquid.

Install bracket bushing if removed due to wear.

Install bracket and bushing assembly on the casing.

Coat shaft of rotor/shaft assembly with light oil and insert into bracket bushing.

Is the end clearance within acceptable limits?

Record the current end clearance measurement

Adjust end clearance as per TSM guidelines

Verify improved pump performance

Ensure all safety measures are in place before starting

Insert hardwood or brass through port opening to keep shaft from turning

Bend up tang of lockwasher and remove locknut and lockwasher from shaft

Loosen set screws and remove bearing housing assembly

Remove half round rings under inner spacer collar from shaft (K, KK, L, LQ, LL, and LS sizes only)

Loosen gland nuts and remove T-bolts securing the O-Pro™ Barrier

Thread jack bolts into tapped holes and remove O-Pro™ Barrier
