The 12-volt battery is located in the lefthand side of the luggage compartment.

Removing the 12-volt battery cover

1 Slide the third seats to the frontmost position. 2 Remove the left-hand side of the luggage trim cover.

When recharging, the 12-volt battery produces hydrogen gas which is flammable and explosive. Therefore, observe the following precautions before recharging:

● If recharging with the 12-volt battery installed on the vehicle, be sure to disconnect the ground cable.

● Make sure the power switch on the charger is off when connecting and disconnecting the charger cables to the 12-volt battery.

Warning: Incorrect tire inflation pressure may result in reduced fuel economy, reduced driving comfort and poor handling, reduced tire life due to wear, reduced safety, and damage to the drive train.

Instructions: Check only when the tires are cold. Always use a tire pressure gauge. It is normal for the tire inflation pressure to be higher after driving. Do not reduce tire inflation pressure after driving. Never exceed the vehicle capacity weight.

Apply soapy water to the valve and check for leakage

Notice: Be sure to put the tire valve caps back on. If a valve cap is not installed, dirt or moisture may get into the valve and cause an air leak, resulting in decreased tire inflation pressure.

Cleaning and protecting the vehicle interior

Perform cleaning in a manner appropriate to each component and its material.

● Remove dirt and dust using a vacuum cleaner. Wipe dirty surfaces with a cloth dampened with lukewarm water.

● If dirt cannot be removed, wipe it off with a soft cloth dampened with neutral detergent diluted to approximately 1%.

Wring out any excess water from the cloth and thoroughly wipe off remaining traces of detergent and water.

There are several commercial foaming-type cleaners available. Use a sponge or brush to apply the foam. Rub in overlapping circles. Do not use water. Wipe dirty surfaces and let them dry. Excellent results are obtained by keeping the carpet as dry as possible.

Warning: Ensure the power switch is off before starting the procedure.

Check and replace the air conditioning filter according to the maintenance schedule. In dusty areas or areas with heavy traffic flow, early replacement may be required.

Warning: Brake fluid can harm your hands and eyes and damage painted surfaces. If fluid gets on your hands or in your eyes, flush the affected area with clean water immediately. If you still experience discomfort, see a doctor.

Information: Brake fluid can absorb moisture from the air. Excess moisture in the brake fluid can cause a dangerous loss of braking efficiency. Use only newly opened brake fluid.
