Ensure all parts are free from burrs and damage

Insert stationary element of seal into seal cover

Avoid touching seal surfaces to prevent leakage

Avoid contaminating seal faces with fingerprints

Lubricate pump shaft end with silicone grease

Ensure no petroleum oil or grease is used

Place spring retainer and spring against retaining ring

Enter the temperature of the motor bearings

Is the temperature of the motor bearings within the normal range?

Enter the suction gauge reading

Is the suction gauge reading normal?

Enter the discharge gauge reading

Is the discharge gauge reading normal?

Loosen all radial set screws on the seal rotating element

Remove the seal rotating element

Apply silicone grease on the OD of the shaft

Remove the stationary seal element from the top of the cover/adapter

Seal Cover and Shaft Coupling Removal

Draw off the seal rotating element from the shaft

Apply silicone grease on the OD of the shaft

Remove the seal through the opening between the pump shaft and motor shaft

Allow pump to cool before starting work

Close suction and discharge valves

Drain liquid from casing by removing drain plug

Remove coupler guard from both sides

Remove seal flush line, seal, and coupling

Remove bolts holding cover/motor adapter to casing

Remove motor adapter and motor as one assembly from cover/casing
