Clean the return line strainers

Lubricate the Sullicon Control linkage

Replace the fluid filter element and gasket

Drain the sump and change the compressor fluid

Remove the old element and gasket using a strap wrench

Apply a light film of fluid to the new gasket

Hand-tighten new element until new gasket is seated in the gasket groove

Continue tightening element by hand an additional 1/2 to 3/4 turn

Clean exterior of air filter housing

Remove the air filter cover by loosening the wingnut securing the cover

Remove element and clean interior of housing using a damp cloth

Reassemble in the reverse order of the disassembly

Place a bright light inside the element to inspect for damage or leak holes

Inspect all gaskets and gasket contact surfaces of the housing

Enter the desired operating pressure range (psig/bar)

Enter the maximum operating pressure from the compressor serial number nameplate (psig/bar)

Is the desired operating pressure within the maximum operating pressure limit?

Remove the pressure switch cover

Ensure the shut-off valve is closed or slightly cracked open

Observe the line pressure gauge reading (psig/bar)

Record the current reading of the maintenance gauge

Has it been 1000 hours since the last replacement?

Has it been 6 months since the last replacement?

Is this a standard compressor and has there been a fluid change?

Turn off the compressor and ensure it is safe to work on

Remove the old fluid filter element
