Fluid Filter Element Replacement

Remove the filter canister using a wrench

Remove and dispose of filter element according to laws and regulations

Apply a light film of fluid to the element seal

Install the element into the filter canister

Tighten the canister to the filter head to 10 to 12 ft•lb (13.5 to 16.0 N·m)

Restart compressor and check for leaks

Replace fluid filter element under any of the following conditions

Verify that the return line strainer is free of foreign materials

Verify that the return line orifice is free of foreign materials

Ensure all tools and materials are removed from the work area

Technician's signature to confirm completion of maintenance

Order filter assembly No. 02250117-782

Disconnect the tube at bottom of sight glass

Unscrew the sight glass assembly where the elbow fitting joins the strainer/filter

Replace with new filter assembly

Ensure the compressor unit is powered off and isolated from the power source.

Gather necessary tools and replacement element no. 02250152-670.

Remove the protective grill from the adapter housing.

Loosen the retaining screw located on the outer sleeve.

Slide the sleeve to one side, exposing the coupling element.

Unwrap the coupling element from the coupling jaws.

Relieve all pressure from the receiver tank and all compressor lines

Loosen and remove the eight (8) hex head capscrews (M12 x 40mm) from the cover plate

Lift the cover plate from the receiver tank

Inspect the receiver tank for rust, dirt, etc.

Reinsert the separator element into the receiver tank taking care not to dent the element against the tank opening

Install a new lubricated O-ring in the O-ring groove on the underside of the receiver tank cover

Replace the cover plate, washers and capscrews. Torque to 89 ft·lbs. (121 N·m)
