Disconnect the power supply to the appliance
Ensure the power switch is in the 'OFF' position when cleaning the blower wheel
Have the unit cleaned and adjusted by a Southbend Authorized Service Agency or another qualified service technician
Examine and clean the oven’s venting system

Preparation
Turn all thermostats and burner valves to 'OFF' position
Turn main gas valve to entire unit off
Access Manifold
Remove valve panels and locate 1/8” plug in manifold
Remove plug and install a fitting appropriate to connect a manometer
Check Gas Pressure
Turn on main gas to unit and light pilots

Safety Precautions
Disconnect the power supply to the appliance before cleaning.

Cleaning Low Temperature Stainless Steel Surfaces
Use ordinary soap and water with a sponge or cloth to clean.
Dry thoroughly with a clean cloth.
Removing Baked-on Grease and Food Splatter
Apply cleanser to a damp cloth or sponge and rub in the direction of the polishing lines.
Use SCOTCH-BRITE or STAINLESS scouring pads for stubborn deposits.

Clean around the rear of the motor (vent screen area)
Clean the louvered panels
Clean the primary air holes in the rear of the oven
Oven Calibration
WARNING! Adjustments and service work may be performed only by a qualified technician.
NOTICE: Warranty will be void if service work is performed by other than a qualified technician.
Loosen the two set screws that secure the temperature-control knob to the temperature-control shaft.
Remove the knob from the shaft, being careful not to rotate the knob or shaft.
Replace the knob on the shaft so that the indicator mark on the knob points directly at the temperature that was measured at the center of the oven.
Re-check the oven calibration.
Is the oven calibration correct after adjustment?
