Ensure you have the following materials

Switch off the inverter and wait at least 15 minutes before opening it to allow the capacitors to discharge completely.

Seal Inspection and Maintenance

Check whether the seals in the sealing area show any damage.

Apply talcum, petroleum jelly or wax to seals to prevent frost damage.

After removing the side panels, check whether the side panel seals display any damage in the sealing area.

Switch off the inverter and wait at least 15 minutes before opening it.

Ensure the capacitors are completely discharged.

Disassemble the protective covers.

Remove dirt and dust from the heating elements.

Remove moisture from the heating elements.

Switch off the inverter and wait at least 15 minutes before opening it.

Wear suitable personal protective equipment.

Disassemble the protective covers.

Switch off the inverter and wait at least 15 minutes before opening it to allow the capacitors to discharge completely.

Disconnect the inverter (see Section 4, page 26).

Check the fuses/disconnection blades and tension springs for any discoloration or change in appearance.

Check insulation and terminals for any discoloration or change in appearance.

Fuse/Disconnection Blade Handling

Remove fuses / disconnection blades one by one from the fuse holders using a fuse extractor.

Check whether the contact surfaces of the fuses / disconnection blades are free from hardened grease.

Switch off the inverter and wait at least 15 minutes before opening it to allow the capacitors to discharge completely.

Remove dirt and dust from the inverter interior and from all devices.

If leaks are present, fix them.

Remove moisture from the inverter interior.
