10 Hourly / 1 Daily Engine Oil Level Check
Telehandler parked on a firm level surface with boom fully retracted and lowered?
Engine shut off and engine cover lifted?
Wait approximately 15 minutes after engine has been shut off
Dipstick pulled out and wiped off with a clean, dry, lint-free cloth?
Dipstick placed back in the hole until it stops?
Dipstick pulled out again and oil level checked?
Is the oil level between the “Full” and “Low” marks?
If oil level is below the “Low” mark, refer to 5.4-5 Replace Engine Oil and Filter for engine oil and filter replacement procedure
Sign off on the engine oil level check
250 Hourly / 3 Monthly Hydraulic Tank Breather Cleaning
Area around hydraulic breather cleaned
Breather removed and cleaned with solvent
Breather dried with compressed air
Cleaned breather installed on the tank
Sign off on the breather cleaning
10 Hourly / 1 Daily Tire Pressure and Condition Check
WARNING! Do not over-inflate. Tire may explode causing death or severe injury
Enter the current tire pressure
Is the tire pressure within the recommended range?
Is the tire pressure below 80% of the recommended pressure?
If yes, remove wheel from telehandler to fill the tire
Is the tire placed in a cage and inflated using a clip-on chuck and a remote tire pressure gauge?
Does the tire need to be removed for repairs?
If yes, remove the air pressure from the tire before removing the wheel from the telehandler
Is the tire tread free from damage?
1000 Hourly / 1 Yearly Engine Coolant Replacement
WARNING! Always shut off the engine and allow it to cool down before removing the radiator cap. Steam or fluid escaping from the radiator may cause severe injury. Remove cap slowly to relieve pressure. Avoid contact with steam or escaping fluid
NOTE! Machines with an enclosed cab have a heater unit that needs to be flushed separately
NOTE! Place the heat select switch in the full hot position if equipped
Open the radiator cap to ensure proper draining
Place a container capable of holding 5 gallons (17 liters) under the radiator drain plug
Open the drain plug and allow radiator and coolant bottle to drain
Close the drain plug
NOTE! For machines without an enclosed cab continue from step 10
Close manual heater valve located near the radiator cap/surge tank then disconnect the heater hose connected to it
TH Boom Mount Shimming
NOTICE! Inspect for cracked or missing welds on the washer (9-160395) that is welded to the inside of the boom pivot plate
Inspection of the washer (9-160395) for cracks or missing welds
Insert the thrust washers between the boom and the body of the machine
Thrust washers inserted between the boom and the body of the machine
NOTICE! The thrust washers only go on the outside of the boom pivot plate, not on the inside
Thrust washers placed on the outside of the boom pivot plate
NOTE! There should be a gap of 0.062\ - 0.125\" between the thrust washers and the bearing or the boss plate of the outer boom mount"
Measure the gap between the thrust washers and the bearing or the boss plate of the outer boom mount
Is the gap between the thrust washers and the bearing or the boss plate of the outer boom mount within the specified range (0.062\ - 0.125\")?"
