Is the spark plug clean?
Enter the spark plug gap in mm
Is the spark plug replaced?
Note: Using any spark plug other than those designated may result in the engine failing to operate properly or in the engine becoming overheated and damaged.
Is the spark plug tightened correctly?
Enter the tightening torque in N.m.

Warning: Inspect the muffler for loose fasteners, any damage or corrosion. If any sign of exhaust leakage is found, stop using the machine and have it repaired immediately.
Muffler clean and free of damage or corrosion
Spark arrester clean and free of red hot carbon
All screws, nuts, and bolts tightened and replaced as necessary
No oil or grease in between the clutch lining and drum

Stick Edger Maintenance
Before use:
fuel leaks, fuel spillage: wipe out
fuel tank, air filter, fuel filter: inspect/clean: replace, if necessary
idle adjusting screw: see ADJUSTING IDLING SPEED (p.12): replace carburetor if necessary
1. When the engine tends stop frequently at idling mode, turn the adjusting screw clockwise.
2. When the cutting head keeps rotating after releasing the trigger, turn the adjusting screw counter-clockwise.
• Warm up the engine before adjusting the idling speed.

fuel tank, air filter, fuel filter: inspect/clean
AIR FILTER:
The air filter must be regularly cleaned to remove dust and dirt in order to avoid:
• Carburetor malfunctions
• Starting problems
• Loss of engine power
• Unnecessary wear to engine parts
• Excessive fuel consumption.
Clean the filter every 25 hours, or more regularly if conditions are exceptionally dusty. (MA2a)
