Warning: Improperly connecting or disconnecting battery cables can result in an explosion and cause serious injury or death.

When removing the battery, always disconnect the negative (black) cable first. When reinstalling the battery, always connect the negative (black) cable last.

Your ATV is equipped with a sealed battery, which requires little maintenance.

Always keep battery terminals and connections free of corrosion.

Is the engine coolant level controlled by the recovery system?

Is there any drop in coolant level?

Is the radiator clean and free of debris?

Has the coolant been replaced in the last two years?

Shift linkage - Inspect, lubricate

Front suspension - Lubricate (Perform these procedures more often for vehicles subjected to severe use.)

Rear suspension - Lubricate (Perform these procedures more often for vehicles subjected to severe use.)

Throttle Cable/ETC Switch - Inspect; adjust; lubricate; replace if necessary (Emission-Related Service)

Throttle Body Intake Duct - Inspect duct for proper sealing/air leaks (Emission-Related Service)

Drive belt - Inspect; replace as needed.

Warning: Severe injury or death can result from improper toe alignment and adjustment. Do not attempt to adjust tie rod alignment. All tie rod adjustments should be performed by an authorized POLARIS dealer.

Vehicle positioned on a level surface

Handlebars in a straight-ahead position

String tied between two stands and flush with the side of the rear tire

Distance from the string to the rim at the front

Distance from the string to the rim at the rear

Rear measurement is 1.5 mm more than the front measurement on each side of the vehicle

Toe alignment checked on the other side of the vehicle

If you discover improper alignment, see your POLARIS dealer for service.

Demand drive fluid (normal use) - Change fluid (Perform these procedures more often for vehicles subjected to severe use.)

1. Position the vehicle on a level surface. Remove the fill plug.

2. Place a drain pan under the demand drive unit. Remove the drain plug. Allow the fluid to drain completely.

3. Clean and reinstall the drain plug. Torque to specification.

4. Add the proper amount of the recommended fluid.

5. Reinstall the fill plug. Torque to specification.

6. Check for leaks. Dispose of used fluid properly.

Rear gearcase oil - Change fluid (Perform these procedures more often for vehicles subjected to severe use.)
