Plunger Replacement
Remove the pump head from the crankcase
Remove the plunger retaining nut and slide the plunger off the lower plunger
Remove the o-ring from the lower plunger
Remove the plunger retaining nut and slinger ring
Inspect the plungers for cracking or damage
Replace the slinger ring when a ceramic plunger is removed
Use Locktite 242 on the plunger nut
Install new parts
Install the slinger ring onto lower plunger

Time to fill a one or five-gallon container
Does the water supply exceed the required gallons per minute?
Suction Line and Strainer Check
Is the suction line size adequate?
Inspect line strainers for cleanliness and capacity

Oil Seal Replacement

Tools Required
Ensure all required tools are available
Oil Seal Replacement Procedure
Drain the oil from the crankcase using a 9/16" hex wrench
Remove the cylinder head and plunger retaining nuts with a 9/16" hex wrench
Remove the plungers and slinger rings
Inspect the plunger rods for nicks or scratches
Are the plunger rods free of nicks or scratches?
Plunger Seal Maintenance
Tools Required
Ensure all tools are available
Replace the plunger seals if there is water leakage from the weephole
Cylinder Head Removal
Use a 3/16" Allen wrench to remove the cylinder head bolts
Remove the head from the crankcase assembly
Cup Retainer Removal
Rotate the shaft and remove the cup retainers from the plungers
Remove the cup retainer and the cup from the cylinder head
Initial 40 Hours Pump Lubrication
IMPORTANT: Hypro PowerLine Plus pumps are filled with Hypro Oil.
Oil Change Frequency
Change oil after 40 hours of break-in operation.
Change oil every three months or 500 hours, whichever comes first.
Lubrication Check
Check the oil level using the dipstick.
Is the oil level adequate?
