Check the oil level using the dipstick

Use Hypro Oil (P/N 2160-0038) for lubrication

Enter the crankcase capacity for PowerLine Plus 2400B-P/2430B-P pumps

Change oil after 500 hours of operation or every three months, whichever comes first

Verify lubrication recommendations marked on the crankcase

Time to fill a one or five-gallon container

Does the water supply exceed the required gallons per minute?

Suction Line and Strainer Check

Is the suction line size adequate?

Inspect line strainers for cleanliness and capacity

Measure vacuum at the suction side

Is the pump protected from overheating?

Remove six head bolts using a 1/4" Allen wrench.

Turn the shaft to push the head from the crankcase assembly.

Pull the head off the plungers.

Remove the cup retainer assembly from the cylinder head using fingers or external pliers.

Remove the Teflon backup ring and the high pressure cup from the head.

Remove the low pressure seal from the cup retainer with a small flat-blade screwdriver.

Refer to packing replacement instructions for head removal

Remove the plunger nut, plunger, and slinger ring

Oil Seal Retainer Cartridge Removal

Lift the oil seal retainer cartridge from the crankcase using a 90˚Allen wrench or bent bar

Use the slot under each plunger to access the cartridge

Old Oil Seal and O-ring Removal

Push the old oil seal out of the cartridge

Remove the o-ring from the outside of the cartridge

Remove the valve cap (Figure 9, Ref. 1)

Remove the valve assembly (Ref. 3) from the head using needle nose pliers

Remove the o-ring (Ref. 4) from below the valve assembly

Remove the o-ring (Ref. 2) from the valve cap

Reassemble by reversing the disassembly steps

Enter the torque specifications for the valve cap
