Suspend operation if any abnormal or dangerous conditions are noticed

Method of inspection for liquid pumping

Are the suction and discharge pressures normal?

Has the liquid deteriorated, crystallized, or precipitated?

Wear protective clothing such as eye protection, chemical resistant gloves, a mask, and a face shield.

Refer to SDS precautions from the solution supplier.

Turn off power to stop the pump and related devices before service is performed.

Stop the pump by key operation and wait for three seconds before unplugging the pump.

Inspect the pump for any visible damage or wear.

Describe any issues found during inspection.

Inspect the pump head mounting bolts for any signs of loosening or damage.

Are all bolts in good condition?

Enter the specified tightening torque value for the bolts.

Use a hexagon wrench as a torque wrench to retighten the bolts evenly in a diagonal order.

Have all bolts been retightened to the specified torque?

Verify the following post-maintenance checks

Release the pressure from the discharge line before disconnecting plumbing or disassembly of the pump.

Rinse wet ends thoroughly with tap water.

Release pressure from the pump head and the discharge line.

Rotate the adjusting screw two revolutions anticlockwise to open the air vent port.

Is the air vent line established?

If the air vent line is not established, describe the method used to safely remove the discharge line under pressure.
