Ensure all necessary equipment is available

Is the coolant within the specified parameters for water hardness, pH, and chloride content?

Record any deviations from the specified parameters

Ensure the engine is running at normal operating temperature and load is as high as possible

Fill the container with a measured amount of fresh water

Blow air into the container until the prescribed operation pressure is reached

Connect the plug-in coupling of the lance to the snap coupling on the pipe

Depress the handle on the hand valve

Inject water into the compressor

Ensure the engine has cooled down before starting the cleaning procedure.

Wear protective clothing to prevent chemical burns.

Provide adequate ventilation in the working area.

Do not inhale gases and fumes from cleaning agents.

Observe Safety Data Sheets or Operating Instructions of the relevant manufacturer.

Check for contamination in the coolant system. Is the degree of contamination high?

Check and Document Feed Water Values

Enter the concentration of additives

Enter the acid capacity up to pH 8.2

Document any deviations from manufacturer specifications

Were all values within the acceptable range?

Check for indications of oil content in water

Measure the concentration of chemical additives

Is the concentration of chemical additives within the acceptable range?

Document the results of the additive concentration test

Send a coolant sample to an independent laboratory or engine manufacturer for analysis

Coolant Replacement and Cleaning

Is the coolant older than 3 years?
