Is there a high concentration of solids (rust) in the system?

Ensure the engine is cooled down before starting the cleaning procedure

Do not inhale developed gases and fumes

Observe Safety Data Sheets or Operating Instructions of the relevant manufacturer

Check for contamination in the coolant system

Is the degree of contamination high?

Draw a lubricating oil sample before the filter at engine in operation

Ensure the sample bottle is clean and dry

Provide sufficient identification on the sample bottle

Close the sample bottle immediately after filling

Select the laboratory for examination

Has the lubricating oil reached MAN Diesel & Turbo exchange criteria?

Condensate Water Quality Measurements

Measure the hardness of the condensate water

Measure the iron content in the condensate water

Measure the additive concentration in the condensate water

Document the measured hardness value

Document the measured iron content value

Document the measured additive concentration value

Verify that all measurements are within the acceptable range

Record the copper content in the feed water

Record the silicic acid level in the feed water

Is the copper content within the acceptable range?

Is the silicic acid level within the acceptable range?

Document any irregularities or observations
