Sign off on the wheel loader maintenance

Contact your Komatsu distributor for cleaning of the KDPF.

Ask your Komatsu distributor for cleaning of the DEF tank.

For cleaning the fuel doser, ask your Komatsu distributor.

METHOD FOR CHECKING FOR MISSING FUEL SPRAY PREVENTION CAP ON FUEL DOSER PIPING, HARDENING OF RUBBER

Ask your Komatsu distributor to have the fuel spray prevention cap on fuel doser checked.

METHOD FOR CHANGING OIL IN ENGINE OIL PAN, REPLACING ENGINE OIL FILTER CARTRIDGE

• Immediately after the engine is stopped, its parts and oil are still very hot, and may cause burn injury. Wait for the temperature to go down, and then start the work.

• When removing the oil filler cap, the oil may spout out. Turn it slowly to release the internal pressure, then remove it carefully.

• Container to catch drained oil

For the machine with rear fender, operate lever (a) downward, and open cover (b) before the work.

METHOD FOR REPLACING FUEL TANK BREATHER ELEMENT

Immediately after the engine is stopped, its parts and oil are still very hot and may cause burn injury.

Wait for the temperature to go down, and then start the work.

1. Open the radiator guard side cover (1) on the right side of machine, and fix it with the rod.

2. Remove mud and dirt around the breather.

3. Remove nut (3) of breather assembly (2).

5. Replace breather element (5) with a new one.

METHOD FOR DRAINING WATER AND SEDIMENT FROM FUEL TANK

Container to receive drained fuel

1. Place a container to receive drained fuel under drain valve (1) on the right side of the fuel tank.

2. Open drain valve (1), and drain the sediment and water accumulated at the bottom together with fuel.

3. When only clean fuel flows out, close drain valve (1).;
