100 Hourly Hydraulic Excavator Maintenance

24.4.1 LUBRICATING

1. Set the work equipment in the greasing posture below, then lower the work equipment to the ground and stop the engine.

2. Using a grease pump, pump in grease through the grease fittings shown by arrows.

3. After greasing, wipe off any old grease that was pushed out.

250 Hourly Hydraulic Excavator Maintenance

24.5.1 CHECK OIL LEVEL IN FINAL DRIVE CASE, ADD OIL

Set the TOP mark at the top, with the UP mark and plug perpendicular to the ground surface.

Remove plug F using the handle. When the oil level reaches a point 10 mm below the bottom of the plug hole, the correct amount of oil has been added.

If the oil level is too low, install plug F, operate the travel levers, and drive forward or in reverse to rotate the sprocket one turn.

If the oil level is still too low, add engine oil through the hole in plug F until the oil overflows.

After checking, install plug F.

24.5.2 CHECK LEVEL OF BATTERY ELECTROLYTE

Open the battery box cover on the right side of the machine.

Remove cap 1, and check that the electrolyte is at the specified level (10 to 12 mm (0.40 to 0.47 in) above the plate). If the electrolyte level is low, add distilled water to the specified level.
