Warning: This maintenance check requires trained personnel with PPE!

Check water pump for play in pulley, oil leaks, and water leaks

If any issues are found with the water pump, contact your Komatsu distributor for inspection, overhaul or replacement

If the engine is started frequently, have this inspection carried out every 1000 hours

Replace accumulator (for control circuit) every 2 years or every 4000 hours, whichever comes sooner

Warning: The accumulator is charged with high-pressure nitrogen gas, so mistaken operation may cause an explosion, which will lead to serious injury or damage

Do not disassemble the accumulator, bring it near flame or dispose of it in fire, make holes in it or weld it, hit it, roll it, or subject it to any impact

When disposing of the accumulator, the gas must be released. Please contact your Komatsu distributor to have this work carried out

Contact your Komatsu distributor for the following steps

High-pressure piping clamp replaced

Fuel spray prevention cap replaced

Any abnormal noise from any greasing point?

Machine subjected to jobs in the water?

Carrying out heavy-duty operations?

Set the machine to the greasing posture, lower the work equipment to the ground, then stop the engine.

Grease pumped in through the grease fittings?

Old grease wiped off after greasing?

REPLACE FUEL PRE-FILTER CARTRIDGE

Engine parts cooled down before starting the operation?

NOTICE: If any abnormal noise is generated from any greasing point, carry out greasing regardless of the greasing interval. Carry out greasing every 10 hours for the first 50 hours on a new machine. After the machine was subjected to jobs in the water, be sure to grease the wet pins.

Set the machine to the greasing posture

Using a grease pump, pump in grease through the grease fittings

After greasing, was old grease wiped off?

Warning: This maintenance requires special tools and trained personnel!

This maintenance is only to be performed after the first 1000 hours of operation on new machines.

Has the machine been operated for 1000 hours?

If the machine has not been operated for 1000 hours, stop the procedure and schedule it for later.

Check engine valve clearance, is adjustment needed?

If adjustment is needed, contact your Komatsu distributor.
