Gasoline Engine Oil Change
WARNING: Before starting maintenance of the engine, stop the engine and wait until cooling down completely
Drain plug removed and oil drained
Drain plug tightened after draining
Engine oil filled up to the specified level
Enter the engine oil level
Sign off on the engine oil change
Diesel Engine Fuel Filter Replacement
Warning: Always make sure to prepare the container for receiving draining water and bleeding air. Wipe up spilled fuel if any, because it may cause fire if fuel sticks here and there.
Remove the combination sensor plug at the bottom of the cartridge
Remove the cartridge with the filter wrench
Install the combination sensor plug to the new cartridge
Fill the new cartridge with the fuel and apply the thin layer of engine oil before installation
Loosen the plug and pump the knob up and down until no more bubbles come out with the fuel
Tighten the plug
Sign off on the fuel filter replacement
Gasoline Engine Fuel Filter Replacement
Warning: This procedure requires trained personnel with PPE!
Loosen the nut to remove the cover and take the filter out.
Clean the dirt at the bottom and drain the water.
Replace with a new filter.
IMPORTANT
If any damage is found on the gasket of the cover, replace it with a new one.
After replacement, check the hose fitting area for no fuel leakage.
Sign off on the fuel filter replacement
Hydraulic Tank Maintenance
WARNING: The temperature of the oil is very high immediately after stop operation of the truck. Be sure to start inspection after cooling down completely.
Drain plug removed and hydraulic tank uncovered
Strainer removed and cleaned with flushing oil
Drain plug installed after cleaning inside hydraulic tank
Strainer dried with compressed air from inside to outside until completely dry
Line filter replaced with a new one and tank cover installed
Hydraulic oil refilled through the breather hole. Enter the oil level as per the oil level gauge.
Engine started and mast operated with lifting and tilting until stroke-end for several times to bleed the air
Komatsu genuine hydraulic oil used
Differential Case Oil Replacement
Warning: Only trained personnel should perform this procedure.
Oil filler plug removed
Oil drained through the drain plug
Drain plug tightened after draining
Oil refilled as specified
Oil level after refilling
IMPORTANT: Be sure to always use the Komatsu genuine oil 'FG090' for the gear oil.
IMPORTANT: The same oil is being used at the differential case and the transmission case for the clutch model, while the specifications of the oil being used at those devices differs for the TORQFLOW type.
