Hydraulic Tank Maintenance

WARNING: The temperature of the oil is very high immediately after stop operation of the truck. Be sure to start inspection after cooling down completely.

Drain plug removed from the bottom of the hydraulic tank

Hydraulic tank uncovered and strainer removed

Strainer cleaned with flushing oil

Drain plug installed after cleaning inside hydraulic tank

Strainer cleaned and dried with compressed air

Line filter replaced with a new one

Tank cover installed

Hydraulic oil level after refill

Draining Of Water From Diesel Engine Fuel Filter

IMPORTANT: Prepare a container to catch the drained water possibly mixed with the fuel.

IMPORTANT: Always make sure to wipe up spilled fuel if any.

Loosen the combination sensor plug (1)

Drain the water as well as sediment accumulated at the bottom

Upload a photo of the drained water and sediment

Sign off on the draining procedure

2 Yearly Forklift Truck Replacement

Warning: This replacement procedure requires trained personnel with PPE!

Select the parts replaced

Brake hose or tube replaced?

Reservior tank and tube replaced?

Power steering hose replaced?

Stop lamp switch (Oil pressure type) replaced?

Fuel hose replaced?

Rubber parts of power steering replaced?

Hose of load handing replaced?

Run this procedure

Clutch Disc Replacement

Open the clutch case cover

Fix the pressure plate with the pressure plate mounting bolt

Slide the snap ring (1) and remove the pin (2)

Push the shaft toward the transmission

Remove the pressure plate mounting bolt (3) and slide the pressure plate

Remove the clutch disc

Be careful not to damage the spring when sliding the pressure plate

Sign off on the clutch disc replacement

Run this procedure

Differential Case Oil Replacement

Warning: Only trained personnel should perform this procedure.

Oil filler plug removed

Oil drained through the drain plug

Drain plug tightened after draining

Oil refilled as specified

Oil level after refilling

IMPORTANT: Be sure to always use the Komatsu genuine oil 'FG090' for the gear oil.

IMPORTANT: The same oil is being used at the differential case and the transmission case for the clutch model, while the specifications of the oil being used at those devices differs for the TORQFLOW type.
