11.2 PERIODIC INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE CHECK POINTS

1. Deformation, cracks or wear of fork stopper pin

2. Opening or difference in height of fork tips

1. Cracks or wear of upper and lower hooks

2. Cracks or wear of fork base/root

Check fork base thickness (C) for specified size

9.2 PERIODIC INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE CHECK POINTS

Select dry and even surface road, drive at full speed and stop abruptly to check the following:

Warning: This maintenance check requires trained personnel with PPE!

Check for deformation, cracks or scratches in the rear axle

Check for play of center pin in the rear axle

Check for clearance of thrust in the rear axle

Check for looseness of cap mounting bolt in the rear axle

Check for shaking, pulling or dragging in the steering wheel

Check for steering force (Control force) in the steering wheel

Check for play at engine idle in the steering wheel

Check for interference between wheel and other part of truck in the steering wheel

Load rollers on the uprights and carriage shimmed to 1/16 in. (1.5 mm) clearance

Chains checked for wear and stretch

E-MD SERIES FULL FREE LIFT 2-STAGE MAST

Load rollers on the uprights and carriage shimmed to 1/16 in. (1.5 mm) clearance

Chains checked for wear and stretch

E-MT SERIES FULL FREE LIFT 3-STAGE MAST

Chains inspected and lubricated with SAE 40 wt. oil or equivalent

6.2 PERIODIC INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE CHECK POINTS

Check the following by operating the F/R lever: a. No clatter at each position b. Smooth shifting

Check transmission for abnormal sound.

Check transmission for oil leakage.

Check transmission oil for proper amount level.

Inching Pedal (TORQFLOW type) a. Inching spool stroke b. Interconnected Stroke Adjust stroke with adjusting screw to interlock the brake pedal with the inching pedal at the specified value c. Pedal Stroke d. Play: 0 - .157 in. (0 - 4 mm)

Replace oil, inspect and clean strainer
