1 Yearly Forklift Truck Replacement

For operation safety, never fail to perform periodic maintenance or make periodic replacement of the consumable parts listed in the following.

These parts may deteriorate in time and are susceptible to wear. It is difficult to estimate the degree of wear at time of periodic maintenance; therefore, even if no apparent wear is found, always replace with new parts within the prescribed period of replacement (or earlier if trouble is found).

Diesel Engine Fuel Filter Replacement

Check mark

Warning: Always make sure to prepare the container for receiving draining water and bleeding air. Wipe up spilled fuel if any, because it may be in danger to cause fire if fuel sticks here and there.

Remove the combination sensor plug (4) at the bottom of the cartridge

Check mark

Remove the cartridge (3) with the filter wrench

Check mark

Install the combination sensor plug to the new cartridge (3)

Check mark

Fill the new cartridge with the fuel and apply the thin layer of engine oil before installation

Check mark

Loosen the plug (2) and pump the knob (1) up and down until no more bubbles come out with the fuel

Tighten the plug (2)

Check mark

Sign off on the fuel filter replacement

Gasoline Engine Adjustment

Connect the timing advance tester (1) as shown in the diagram on the right.

Power switch turned on and timing position of the advance adjustment knob (2) adjusted

Engine started and running at the specified idling speed

Check mark

Timing light (3) glowed and indicator and timing mark stamped on the crankshaft pulley and flywheel correctly aligned

Check mark

If timing is wrong, distributor (4) turned to the right or the left for further adjustment

Check mark

Ignition timing advances quickly when the engine is revved up

Check mark

Sign off on the gasoline engine adjustment
