4000 Hourly/6 Monthly Air Compressor Maintenance
Inspect Scavenge Tubes/Orifice and Blowdown System
Stop the machine, electrically isolate and vent all trapped pressure.
Disconnect the scavenge line tubing and unscrew from integrated separator/MPCV manifold.
Inspect orifice and tubing for clogging and clean prior to re-installation.
Is there any scaling or O-ring damage identified?
Confirm the direction of flow is correct by observing the small arrow stamped in the center section.
Remove inlet filter to expose inlet snout for blowdown diverter orifice examination.
Disconnect Synflex tubing from the elbow fitting at bottom of inlet valve.
Inspect/clean spool and all orifice features of blowdown fitting.

Preparation
Close all air inlets
Depressurize the filter housing
Disassembly
Turn the bowl counter-clockwise
Unscrew the bowl completely from the filter head and pull it off
Remove the exhausted element by unscrewing from the filter head
Cleaning
Clean the O-ring seat of the head
Air Cooled Cooler Removal
Preparation for Removal
Stop the compressor
Isolate the compressor from the system
Press the emergency stop to vent the separator tank and airend
Ensure the main power disconnect switch is locked off and tagged
Removal of Air Cooled Cooler
Use certified lifting equipment for any required lifting of air compressor parts
Remove front and back access panels
Disconnect aftercooler discharge tube or hose
2000 Hourly/3 Monthly Air Compressor Maintenance
Inspect Components
Inspect Starter box power drive element (PDM) filter element (if applicable)
Inspect Drive belt
Inspect Airend/Pressure System/Receiver
Check High Airend Temperature Sensor
Inspect and Test Pressure Relief Valve
Inspect and test pressure relief valve on airend and receiver tank
Replace Air Filter Element
Check the retaining cap for dirt and debris and wipe clean
Motor Cowl Cleaning
Pre-maintenance Safety Check
Ensure the compressor is electrically isolated for at least 15 minutes before commencing any maintenance work
Panel Removal
Remove the panels from the compressor
Motor Cowl Cleaning
Use a clean dry cloth to remove dust from the surface of the motor cowl
Panel Replacement
Replace the panels
