NOTICE! Do not adjust the low pressure below 5.03 barg (73 psig) or above 5.66 barg (82 psig).
4300 Hourly Air Dryer Maintenance
CAUTION! Before beginning any work on the dryer, read and understand the safety instructions earlier on in this manual. Open, lock and tag the main electrical disconnect and isolate the dryer from the air system. Do not under any circumstances open any drain valve or remove components from the dryer until this has been carried out. Ensure that all pressure has been vented from the dryer.
CAUTION! When using any form of liquid for cleaning, ensure that all electrical components are protected or covered to prevent ingress of liquid.
WARNING! The dryer’s refrigeration system operates in a pressurised shutdown mode. If the compressor stops, the system will contain high pressure refrigerant. The refrigeration system must only be opened by a qualified technician certified in handling refrigerants.
WARNING! Use suitable equipment for lifting heavy items and ensure loose components are adequately supported to eliminate risk of dropping.

Safety Precautions
Ensure all air pressure is fully discharged and isolated from the system.
Ensure the machine cannot be started accidentally or otherwise, by posting warning signs and/or fitting appropriate anti–start devices.
Ensure all residual electrical power sources (mains and battery) are isolated.
Ensure the refrigeration is recovered by a qualified technician with the appropriate certifications to handle refrigerants.
Ensure the appropriate fire control and oil spill equipment is available.
Ensure the work carried out is limited to only those tasks which require the machine to run.
Ensure appropriate personal protective equipment is worn.
Ensure loose clothing, jewelry, long hair etc. is made safe.

Safety Precautions
Prior to attempting any maintenance work, ensure that all air pressure is fully discharged and isolated from the system, the machine cannot be started accidentally or otherwise, by posting warning signs and/or fitting appropriate anti–start devices, and all residual electrical power sources (mains and battery) are isolated.
Prior to opening or removing panels or covers to work inside a machine, ensure that anyone entering the machine is aware of the reduced level of protection and the additional hazards, including hot surfaces and intermittently moving parts.
Prior to opening the refrigeration circuit, ensure that the refrigeration is recovered by a qualified technician with the appropriate certifications to handle refrigerants, and the appropriate fire control and oil spill equipment is available.
Prior to attempting any maintenance work on a running machine, ensure that the work carried out is limited to only those tasks which require the machine to run, all hazards present are known, appropriate personal protective equipment is worn, loose clothing, jewelry, long hair etc. is made safe, and warning signs indicating that Maintenance Work is in Progress are posted in a position that can be clearly seen.
Upon completion of maintenance tasks and prior to returning the machine into service, ensure that the machine is suitably tested, all guards and safety protection devices are refitted, all panels are replaced, canopy and doors closed, and hazardous materials are effectively contained and disposed of.
