Evaporator (low side) Refrigerant Pressure Adjustment
Warning: This procedure should be performed by trained personnel only.
Enter the local ambient temperature
Install a refrigerant gauge to a low side Schrader connection.
Is the 2RPS condenser fan switch about to close and start the fan(s)?
Increase pressure by turning the hot gas valve adjustment screw clockwise (decrease pressure by turning counter–clockwise).
Enter the refrigerant pressure

Enter the compressed air dewpoint
The dryer should be operating at its nominal rated conditions and 3.3C to 5C (6F to 9F) evaporated superheat setting.
4300 Hourly Timed Solenoid Drain Valves (where fitted) Check / Cleaning
Safety Precautions
Ensure all air pressure is fully discharged and isolated from the system.
Ensure the machine cannot be started accidentally or otherwise, by posting warning signs and/or fitting appropriate anti–start devices.
Ensure all residual electrical power sources (mains and battery) are isolated.
Ensure anyone entering the machine is aware of the reduced level of protection and the additional hazards, including hot surfaces and intermittently moving parts.
Ensure the refrigeration is recovered by a qualified technician with the appropriate certifications to handle refrigerants.
Ensure the appropriate fire control and oil spill equipment is available.
Ensure the work carried out is limited to only those tasks which require the machine to run.
Ensure appropriate personal protective equipment is worn.
Evaporated Superheat Adjustment
Warning: This procedure should only be performed by a qualified refrigeration technician.
Dryer loaded with a minimum of 80% of full compressed air rated load?
Dryer parameters stabilized (30 minutes with no changes in conditions)?
Refrigerant gauge reading from low side Schrader connection
Wall temperature reading from thermocouple or similar device
Superheat adjustment direction
Allow dyer to stabilize (30 minutes with no changes in conditions) after adjustment before checking evaporated superheat.
Checked setting on each evaporator and thermal expansion valve before making adjustments?
NOTICE! Do not adjust the low pressure below 5.03 barg (73 psig) or above 5.66 barg (82 psig).

1 Daily Oil Level Check
- Prior to attempting any maintenance work, ensure that:
• all air pressure is fully discharged and isolated from the system.
• the machine cannot be started accidentally or otherwise, by posting warning signs and/or fitting appropriate anti–start devices.
• all residual electrical power sources (mains and battery) are isolated.
Prior to opening or removing panels or covers to work inside a machine, ensure that:
• anyone entering the machine is aware of the reduced level of protection and the additional hazards, including hot surfaces and intermittently moving parts.
• the machine cannot be started accidentally or otherwise, by posting warning signs and/or fitting appropriate anti–start devices.
- Prior to opening the refrigeration circuit, ensure that: • the refrigeration is recovered by a qualified technician with the appropriate certifications to handle refrigerants.
• the appropriate fire control and oil spill equipment is available.
