Haas Automation Lathe ST-15

CAUTION: The chuck key comes equipped with a spring on the end to prevent accidentally starting the spindle with the chuck key engaged to the chuck. DO NOT REMOVE THE SPRING FROM THE KEY!!!!! Starting the spindle with the chuck key engaged will lead to extensive machine damage and potential physical harm for the operator!

Check if the chuck key is equipped with a spring

Is the chuck key rotating in a clockwise direction to draw the jaws of the chuck closer to the chuck center?

Is the chuck key rotating in a counter-clockwise direction to move the jaws away from the chuck center?

Choose the configuration of the chuck jaws and part holding

Sign off on the 3 Jaw Scroll Jaw Chuck Maintenance

Warning: Never change tools while the machine has the spindle turning or while the axis are moving!

Is the Aloris Single Station Tool Post properly installed?

Is the handle able to swing in a counterclockwise direction to release the current tool?

Can the tool-holder be easily pulled up and off of the Aloris dovetail?

Can the next tool be easily slid onto the Aloris dovetail?

Does the lever swing till clockwise to firmly clamp the tool-holder against the tool post?

Sign off on the Aloris Tool Post Maintenance

Warning: This procedure requires trained personnel with PPE!

If machine is not operational, report the issues to the maintenance team and stop the procedure

Are the linear ways lubricated?

Are the ball screws lubricated?

Sign off on the daily lathe grease points
