Connect a manometer to the outlet tap at the gas valve before adjusting the pressure regulator.

Ensure the final manifold pressure does not vary more than plus or minus 3 inches water column from the specified values for each gas type.

Adjusting the Pressure Regulator

Turn the regulator clockwise to increase pressure and input.

Turn the regulator counterclockwise to decrease pressure and input.

Propane Gas Specific Instructions

Ensure no unit gas valve regulator is used with propane gas.

Adjust the second stage supply line pressure regulator to give 10" water column with all other gas consuming appliances running.

Ensure all power sources are disconnected

Filter Maintenance Responsibility

Turn off electrical power to furnace

Remove access door in ductwork above furnace

Disconnect all power before servicing or installing the unit

Ensure multiple power sources are disconnected

Inspect the following components for proper working order

Check flue pipe system for blockage and/or leakage

Check combustion air intake pipe system for blockage and/or leakage

Ensure the air cleaner is installed in the correct position (not with the access door facing down).

Verify the air cleaner is located in the return air duct next to the blower compartment.

Electronic Air Cleaner Inspection

Check accessibility for periodic inspection and cleaning of pre-filters and electronic cells.

Inspect and clean the following components if necessary

Check accessibility for periodic inspection and replacement of the Media Air Cleaner filter cartridge.

Inspect and replace the following filter cartridges if necessary

Ensure all other gas appliances are turned off

Ensure the heating cycle has been in operation for at least fifteen minutes

Record the time (in seconds) for one complete revolution of the cubic foot dial on the gas meter

Enter the number of cubic feet of gas consumed per hour from the gas rate chart

Enter the calorific value of the gas (BTU per cubic foot)

Calculate the BTU input by multiplying the cubic feet of gas consumed per hour by the calorific value
