Connect a manometer to the outlet tap at the gas valve before adjusting the pressure regulator.

Ensure the final manifold pressure does not vary more than plus or minus 3 inches water column from the specified values for each gas type.

Turn the regulator clockwise to increase pressure and input.

Turn the regulator counterclockwise to decrease pressure and input.

Propane Gas Specific Instructions

Ensure no unit gas valve regulator is used with propane gas.

Adjust the second stage supply line pressure regulator to give 10" water column with all other gas consuming appliances running.

Disconnect all power sources before servicing or installing the unit.

Inspect the following furnace components for proper working order

Was the ignitor handled with care, avoiding bare fingers, rough handling, or vibration?

Describe any issues found with the ignitor

Were all necessary repairs or services performed?

Ensure the air cleaner is installed in the correct position

Is the air cleaner readily accessible for inspection?

Electronic Air Cleaner Inspection

Inspect and clean the following components

Inspect and replace the Media Air Cleaner filter cartridge if necessary

Check availability of replacement filter cartridges

Disconnect all power before servicing, removing the filter or performing any other maintenance.

Check for multiple power sources

Ensure filters are cleaned or replaced every two months.

Is the filter of the same type and size as the one being replaced?

Media Air Filter or Electronic Air Cleaner Removal

Follow the manufacturer’s directions for service.

Upright Counterflow Filter Removal

Ensure all other gas appliances are turned off

Ensure the heating cycle has been in operation for at least fifteen minutes

Clock the gas meter to determine the time for one complete revolution of the cubic foot dial

Enter the time in seconds for one complete revolution of the cubic foot dial

Enter the number of cubic feet of gas consumed per hour (from gas rate chart)

Enter the calorific value of the gas (BTU per cubic foot)
